Launched two years ago by Saipol, this renewable energy is the first to come from French agriculture and offers its users the possibility of decarbonising France’s roads a little more each day. In fact, the use of Oleo100 reduces CO2 emissions by 60% and fine particle emissions by up to 80% while remaining 100% biodegradable and renewable.
Its characteristics are fully in line with the sustainability approach adopted by the VIVESCIA Group. Moreover, it will not only be a renewable energy, but also locally produced. There are three Oleo100 fuel production sites in France and VIVESCIA will rely on the Mériot site (Aube), in the heart of its Cooperative’s territory and in the immediate vicinity of its VIVESCIA Transport agency based in Bologne (Haute-Marne). This geographical proximity will allow for “from field to wheel” direct distribution.
Initially, VIVESCIA Transport will test Oleo100 on its new vehicles bought from Renault Trucks, Saipol’s partner in a joint commercial offer.

Launched in 2018 at the initiative of the Avril Group and produced by its subsidiary Saipol, Oleo100 is an energy derived from French rapeseed and intended for captive fleets of heavy goods vehicles. With performance similar to fossil diesel at a competitive cost, the adoption of Oleo100 is particularly simple and cost effective for captive fleet operators wishing to implement their energy transition in a quick and concrete way, thanks to a 60% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
A subsidiary of the Avril group, Saipol is a European leader in the processing of oilseeds (rapeseed, sunflower). Saipol develops value-added solutions for its customers and the most demanding citizens by marketing vegetable oils and derivatives, protein-rich meals and low-carbon renewable energies. The brands developed by Saipol include:
- Oleo100, a renewable energy made from 100% French rapeseed, is marketed to road hauliers, local authorities and companies, reducing the greenhouse gas emissions of their captive fleets by up to 60%;
- OleoZE, the solution that promotes the development of sustainable agricultural practices through the purchase of seeds from conservation agriculture and with low carbon footprint from collecting organisations and farmers;
- Feedmarket, the digital marketplace for farmers and feed manufacturers to purchase protein-rich meal;
- Diester®, the Made in France biodiesel incorporated at a rate of 7 to 8% in the diesel fuel of all diesel vehicles in France.
