The Saipol plant in Le Mériot specialises in the processing of rapeseed. Located in the heart of the rapeseed production areas, the site only processes seeds of French origin.

The Saipol plant in Grand-Couronne specialises in the processing of rapeseed and other oilseeds (erucic rapeseed grown in the region, etc.) for the production of vegetable oils for food, proteins for animal feed (meal), renewable energy (Oleo100, biodiesel) and vegetable glycerine.

The site processes almost one million tonnes of rapeseed and other oilseeds per year. The industrial site’s energy is produced by the BioCogelyo Normandie biomass cogeneration plant.

The services of the administrative headquarters are spread over the sites of Grand-Couronne, Paris and Asnières-sur-Seine and bring together the support functions of Saipol. The administrative site in Grand-Couronne is home to most of Saipol’s support functions.

The services of the administrative headquarters are spread over the sites of Grand-Couronne, Paris and Asnières-sur-Seine and bring together the support functions of Saipol. The Paris site hosts the sales teams for Saipol’s renewable energy activities: biodiesel, pre-treated oils and Oleo100.

The Saipol plant in Bassens is part of an agro-industrial division of the Avril Group, which handles seed processing to bottling in the South-West region. Saipol is responsible for the primary processing of rapeseed and sunflower seeds, and Lesieur is responsible for the packaging of refined oils.

At Bassens, Saipol transforms around 700,000 tonnes of rapeseed and sunflower seeds into edible vegetable oils, protein-rich meal for animal feed, sunflower lecithin, Diester biodiesel, vegetable glycerine, sunflower husks.

The plant produces its own energy from the combustion in a biomass boiler of sunflower husks obtained during the hulling of the seeds before processing.

Located in the heart of the Auvergne region, the Lezoux plant specialises in processing French sunflower into crude vegetable oils, which are then refined into edible oils at Saipol’s other plants, and into protein-rich meal for livestock feed.

The plant produces its own energy from the combustion in a biomass boiler of sunflower husks obtained when the seeds are hulled before processing.

The Saipol plant in Sète is mainly specialised in the processing of imported rapeseed. This site processes more than 600,000 tonnes of rapeseed into crude vegetable oils, biodiesel, rapeseed cake and crude vegetable glycerine.

The industrial site is powered by steam produced by the Sète Agglopole Méditerranée’s Energy Recovery Unit (UVE) and its own biomass boiler using sunflower husks produced at the Saipol factory in Bassens.
