Created in 1996, SPBS operates a 12-hectare port site located in Bassens, close to Saipol’s industrial site. The company has storage facilities for seeds and oilseed meal, as well as services related to port transit.
The integration of these facilities, some of which are already used by Saipol, represents a significant step in the organization of logistics and industrial operations in the Bordeaux–Bassens port area.
SPBS employees will continue their activities as before, under the responsibility of the new management team.
For Marie SAGLIO, Managing Director of Saipol:
“This acquisition enables Saipol to sustainably expand its storage capacity and access to the Port of Bordeaux.
It is part of an approach aimed at optimizing logistics flows and strengthening industrial performance in the region.”
*Stake increased to 100% of SPBS’s share capital as of June 24, 2026.
