Developed within the Empreinte by Saipol® program, this new range meets the strict quality and safety standards required for food applications, while offering manufacturers a concrete solution to reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions and contribute positively to soil health, water resources, and biodiversity.
An operational solution to achieve both CSR and business goals
With Empreinte by Saipol®, food manufacturers can easily access responsible, traceable, and certified edible oils—without adding complexity to their supply chain or logistics.
“Beyond the quality and origin of the vegetable oils we supply, our clients now increasingly ask about the sustainability and carbon footprint of their sourcing.
With Empreinte by Saipol®, we meet this dual requirement: high-quality oil, traceable and low-carbon sourcing, and a positive impact on upstream agriculture.
By partnering with us, our clients decarbonize their products while supporting fairer remuneration for farmers.”
Jean Lebeau, Commercial Director for Refined Oils, Saipol – Lesieur
Thanks to Saipol’s expertise in agricultural practice traceability and value chain management, companies can integrate more responsible ingredients with reliable data, directly usable for their non-financial reporting (Ecovadis, CSRD…), their decarbonization pathways (SBTi…), or more broadly for their CSR strategies and even their marketing positioning.
A product range that rewards farmers and strengthens the resilience of the oilseed sector
Empreinte by Saipol® is fully aligned with Avril’s Ambition 2030 strategy, which aims to provide sustainable and decarbonized solutions. Implemented since 2020 for energy markets, the program is now expanding into new outlets. It enables farmers to be rewarded for their sustainable practices, encourages the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and strengthens farm resilience in the face of climate change.
Empreinte by Saipol® builds on a strong supply chain, developed with partner grain collectors and their farmer networks. Seeds (rapeseed, sunflower) are grown using sustainable and traceable practices — such as soil regeneration, reduced use of crop protection products, reduced tillage, cover cropping, and biodiversity enhancement — before being processed into high-value products for food, animal nutrition, energy, and renewable chemistry.
“We have structured a commercial offer for vegetable oils, protein-rich meals, vegetable glycerin, and energies that integrates the agricultural practices expected by our industrial customers.
With Empreinte by Saipol®, we ensure that the food and energy transitions sought by our downstream clients become a lever to finance the agricultural transition implemented upstream by farmers.”
