pillar 1

Commited to a collective and inclusive project

Saipol’s strength lies in a committed and engaged collective, where employee safety, well-being and engagement are at the heart of our practices.

The company acts every day to guarantee safe working conditions, foster professional fulfilment and promote an inclusive working environment.

This commitment also extends to our partners, whom we engage to progress together towards more responsible practices.

OBJECTIVE 1 – ENSURE SAFETY ACROSS OUR SITES

🎯 Target: Zero accidents

Safety is Saipol’s absolute priority. All employees and subcontractors are mobilised to continuously improve safety across our sites and strengthen the safety culture.

The WeCare safety programme is regularly enhanced to ensure the highest standards and best practices in industrial safety.

Throughout the year, concrete actions are carried out to raise awareness among teams and share best practices.

Safety culture

Safety is embedded at every level of the company, from day-to-day actions to decision-making bodies.

  • A collective reflex: safety is systematically the first topic addressed during information meetings, from executive committees to operational teams, in order to share results, incidents and best practices.
  • An annual highlight: Safety Day brings together all employees each year through workshops and activities dedicated to risk prevention in industrial sites and offices.

700 Safety Field Visits per year

Safety Field Visits, organised between one employee and another employee from outside their department, make it possible to observe practices in real-life situations, identify risks and promote good reflexes among teams.

The “Red Helmets”

During industrial shutdown periods — particularly intense and sensitive phases — certain employees are appointed as safety representatives.

In 2025, at the Le Mériot site and in support of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) department, six “Red Helmet” employees supported teams to ensure compliance with rules (PPE use, permit monitoring, etc.), secure operations and strengthen collective vigilance.

OBJECTIVE 2 – ENSURE THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF OUR EMPLOYEES

🎯2030 target: Reach 75% of employees recommending the company

Saipol goes beyond risk prevention to foster a working environment where everyone can thrive and balance professional and personal life.

The ambition is for Saipol to remain a great place to work, where physical, mental and social health are priorities.

Great Place To Work

Since 2022, employee satisfaction and trust have been measured every year through the Great Place To Work survey. The results help identify areas for improvement and implement concrete actions to enhance quality of life at work.

In 2025, the employee recommendation rate reached 69%.

This approach is part of a continuous improvement mindset, with a clear ambition: sustainably improving the employee experience and strengthening team engagement year after year.

“Living Well Together” Charter

Saipol is committed to ensuring a respectful, balanced and fulfilling working environment for everyone.

The “Living Well Together” charter sets out simple and practical rules for working better together on a daily basis: respect, exemplary behaviour, communication, meetings, use of shared spaces, and work-life balance.

OBJECTIVE 3 – PROMOTE DIVERSITY, INCLUSION AND ENGAGEMENT

🎯 2030 targets:

  • 20% women in industrial sites
  • Annual partnerships with local associations

Saipol is committed to promoting diversity and equal opportunities at every stage of the professional journey. The company particularly encourages gender diversity in industrial and scientific professions.

This commitment is accompanied by a strong desire to contribute positively to local communities through sponsorship initiatives and partnerships with local associations.

Inclusion and Disability Week

Since 2023, Saipol has organised the Disability Tour across all its sites to raise awareness, share concrete initiatives and remind everyone that diversity is a strength at the heart of our collective.

Food Banks

Saipol’s various sites took part in the November 2025 Food Bank collection campaign.

Thanks to employee mobilisation, Saipol contributed to supporting people facing hardship.

Teachers in Industry: a partner of the Fondation C’Génial since 2010, Saipol participates every year in this initiative, enabling teachers to discover the reality of industrial activities, professions and career paths, helping them better guide their students.
Elles Bougent Association: in 2026, Saipol strengthened its commitment through this partnership to promote scientific and technical careers and inspire young girls to pursue them.

OBJECTIVE 4 – CONTINUE OUR RESPONSIBLE PURCHASING POLICY

🎯 2030 target: CSR assessment of suppliers representing 80% of Saipol’s spending or volumes

Saipol ensures that ethical, social and environmental issues are integrated into its supply chain.

As such, Saipol is committed to assessing and engaging suppliers in a continuous improvement approach.

This policy aims to ensure that partner practices are aligned with Avril’s purpose and supplier code of conduct.

EcoVadis

Saipol actively supports suppliers in continuously improving their overall CSR performance through the EcoVadis CSR assessment platform, internationally recognised for supplier sustainability ratings.

By the end of 2025, 75% of supplier spending (excluding raw materials) had been assessed.

This initiative will be extended to raw material suppliers, starting with key agricultural partners, who began joining the programme in November 2025.
