Saipol - Célébration : Saipol a soufflé ses 40 ans !

📰 Saipol Connect’ information: this is the new internal communication format launched in 2023, designed to make the projects and initiatives that drive us every day understandable and accessible to every employee. Following the sharing of 11 information videos since June, the nearly 2-hour live broadcast provided an opportunity to share updates on projects, year-end results and outlook for 2024.

🎉 Celebrating Saipol’s 40th anniversary: because it was in 1983 that Avril (then known as Sofiprotéol) created Saipol.

This collective event was a first for Saipol and gave the teams an opportunity to revisit the origins of the creation of Saipol and Avril, when the values of Boldness, Performance and Respect were already present, and when our founders were already driven by our purpose of Serving the Earth…

Among the highlights of this information and celebration event, we would particularly like to remember:

450 employees registered to attend in person, taking part in the event across 5 interconnected locations in France, near our Grand-Couronne, Le Mériot, Sète, Lezoux and Bassens sites
A simultaneous information session for all employees, including shift workers who watched the broadcast live and interacted from 8 control rooms
21 speakers including members of the Extended Management Committee, site directors, members of Avril’s Executive Committee and Éric Bellion
54 employee testimonials, sharing their projects at Saipol and what Saipol meant to them in just one word
An event hosted by 7 employees from the Communications, Marketing and HR teams
Dozens of employees behind the scenes who helped make the event a success by taking part in its organization. Thank you to all of them!

Saipol draws its inspiration from 40 years of history shaped by four key elements. First, the entrepreneurial spirit has been crucial, with founders who took risks to help make France a global agricultural leader. Second, the purpose of Serving the Earth has been embedded in the company since its origins, anticipating the climate challenges we face today. Then there are the core values, including the boldness to believe in greater aspirations. Finally, the company has overcome critical moments and challenges, such as agricultural policy changes in 1991 and the refocusing of biofuels in 2017 to contribute to the energy and agricultural transition. These experiences have shaped Saipol’s remarkable journey.
