Notice dated May 22, 2026 – Annual maintenance work

As part of its annual maintenance program, the Saipol industrial site in Grand-Couronne will carry out a scheduled maintenance shutdown from Sunday, May 23, 2026, to Monday, June 29, 2026.

This planned shutdown is part of Saipol’s ongoing commitment to improving safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the reliability and performance of its facilities. All operations will be carried out in accordance with robust, controlled and regularly audited procedures.

Starting Monday, May 25, 2026, the rapeseed processing unit will undergo a draining operation. This is a standard procedure during this type of shutdown and will be carried out by specially trained teams, in compliance with the applicable safety protocols. It will systematically be followed by a thorough inspection conducted by an accredited independent organization, ensuring that all safety conditions are met before maintenance work begins.

Temporary effects that may be perceived by local residents

Despite all the preventive measures put in place, certain operations carried out during the maintenance shutdown may result in temporary effects that can be perceived outside the site.

These may include:

  • Mild plant-based odors, similar to the smell of cooking;
  • Visible and, at times, audible releases of water vapor;

These phenomena pose no risk to health or the environment and are subject to continuous monitoring by the site teams to limit their duration and intensity, where necessary.

Traffic on the maritime boulevard may be affected around the site

The involvement of external contractors during the shutdown may temporarily increase traffic around the site, particularly on the maritime boulevard.

Organizational measures have been put in place to maintain smooth traffic flow and minimize disruption.

The site teams are committed to carrying out this shutdown under the safest possible conditions and to keeping local residents informed. They apologize for any inconvenience that may be caused by these annual maintenance works.

Useful information relating to the maintenance shutdown, as well as any updates in the event of a specific incident, will be available on Allo Industrie.
