OBJECTIVE 1 – MEET THE DECARBONIZATION CHALLENGE
🎯 2030 target: Reduce direct and indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 30% compared with 2019
Decarbonization is a key pillar of the environmental transition.
Saipol is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions to actively contribute to the fight against climate change, meet stakeholder expectations and strengthen the sustainability of its operations.
OBJECTIVE 2 – ADAPT OUR BUSINESS TO CLIMATE CHANGE
🎯 2030 target: Develop a climate adaptation plan
In response to the impacts of climate change, Saipol is proactively assessing risks to ensure the continuity and resilience of its operations.
This approach complements the company’s climate mitigation strategy, which focuses in particular on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (see Objective 1 of Pillar 2), enabling Saipol to address both the causes and the consequences of climate change.
OBJECTIVE 3 – LIMIT OUR IMPACT ON NATURAL RESOURCES AND BIODIVERSITY
🎯 Cibles 2030 :
- Maintain a waste recovery rate of at least 95%
- Reduce water withdrawals at our production sites by 20%, while maintaining constant production volumes (vs. 2022)
Protecting natural resources and biodiversity is a key priority for Saipol.
In response to increasing pressure on soils, water resources and ecosystems, the company is taking action to reduce both its direct and indirect environmental impacts while enhancing the sustainability of its operations.
